An invitation to participate in an event that has not been staged anywhere before. Our intention is to bring together at the one place on the planet, people of integrity who have never ever met face to face before.However this will not be a conference event. For three years we were negotiating with a number of country towns in Australia as well as the city of Adelaide to host the inaugural Global Sustainability Gathering (GSG). In essence, the idea is to bring about a Media Nexus of all environment media in the world. That is, all environment and sustainability related webs sites, along with green publishers, environment journalists, bloggers, and individuals concerned about sustainability issues and environment protection.The collective future of our species and other species on Earth. There are also many paper journals or periodicals related to these topics. We want their editors or a representative journalist to attend.There are of course many NGO’s and associations that also have sites on the web. Some of these environmental organisations have thousands of members. The environment media nexus will encompasses: e-zines, newsletter editors, bloggers and forum managers. We can also add: environment journalists and authors, specialty environment book publishers, dedicated photographers and passionate community environment protection groups. We believe we are the first to ever attempt to gather all such people together. As a result of extensive and lengthy research conducted since November 2005, we have discovered that there are in excess 15,000 sites and Medias that cover these all important subjects. Our task now is to invite a representative from sites and relevant media to physically gather at the same place at the same time in a environmentally suitable and appropriate small town where we will be made welcome. In a recent trip to Australia, Al Gore offered a specific challenge to Australians, and the GSG in part is a response to his invitation in Perth on November 18th 2006.
